An evening with Mrs Terrell and Friends
at Manchester Metropolitan University and
in association with Manchester Centre for Public History
In November 2022, An evening with Mrs Terrell and Friends, supported by the British American Studies Association, Eccles Centre for American Studies, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Manchester Centre for Public History, was screened at Manchester Metropolitan University for eighty students and an evening community audience.
The Day
The day featured a Q&A after the screening, a monologue delivered by a professional actor, George Ukachukwu, and several workshops exploring black female intellectualism and activists hosted and facilitated by Manchester Metropolitan University student ambassadors, who also captured content from the day. They also produced a podcast episode for Manchester Centre for Public History and a blog.
